Gutter Protection for Pest Control
Gutters are designed to redirect the flow of water off your roof and into the downspouts. This process is often interrupted by leaves and other unwanted debris. Most pests and insects thrive on the humidity and moisture that these clogged gutters create overtime. Insect infestations are more than just a nuisance, they can cause very costly repairs if they are not properly and treated within a timely matter.
Unwanted Pests in the Gutter
The various insects and rodents that are usually found in gutters are mainly those that are attracted to moisture. A few common examples being: termites, mosquitoes, birds, ants, raccoons, and squirrels. The pests nesting in your gutter will be comfortable hiding for a while, up until the weather starts to cool down. In the cooler months, these pests will begin to sneak their way into your home. Once inside, they will begin to nest in spots such as attics and crawlspaces. If an infestation goes unnoticed within your home for a long period of time, there can be serious health concerns and costly damage.
