“Bee” Cautious of Bees
According to The Huffington Post, “four people were attacked by a swarm of between 20,000 and 30,000 bees in New Port Richey, Florida … and three of the victims were sent to the hospital.”
It has been reported that the three men who were hospitalized were each stung up to 50 times.. The fourth victim, a woman, was not hospitalized, but was stung about a dozen times
A neighbor of one of the victims called 911 while witnessing the incident and was quoted saying, “I saw my neighbor’s brother on the ground rolling, covered in bees, all over his face.” And according to a local news station, some of the victims may have been trying to take honey from the hive.
Never, approach a beehive. Always call a pest control company that specializes in bee removal to take care of the problem. And never, ever attempt to disrupt the hive…let alone take the honey!
